Official: Super Eagles-eligible fullback signs new six-and-a-half-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur 

With a statement on their official website, Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Super Eagles-eligible fullback Destiny Udogie has committed his future to the club by signing a new long-term deal.

 

The Italy international of Nigerian descent has put pen to paper on a six-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until June 30, 2030.

 

It has been an eventful week for Udogie, who scored his first goal in Tottenham colours in a 4-1 rout of Newcastle United on Sunday – a tap in from Heung-min Son’s cross.

 

Tottenham have showed their faith in the young left-back by extending his contract four months after he started his adventure in north London, having spent the entirety of last season on loan at Udinese. 

 

The Italian-Nigerian was installed as first choice left-back after impressing manager Ange Postecoglou during pre-season preparations, and has gone on to make fourteen appearances in the Premier League, all of which he started.

 

The only matches he missed – against Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers – were due to injury and suspension.
