The Hallmark of Labour Foundation (HLF) has awarded 12 distinguished Nigerians in different sectors and fields with the HLF Role Model Awards at its 27th anniversary.

Those awarded included Minister of Health, Professor Mohammad Ali Pate and Adesola Ogunniyi with HLF Role Model award for Outstanding contributions in the field of medicine; Professor Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufa’i with HLF Role Model award for consistent advocacy of education for the girl-child; Louis Nnamdi Mbanefo with HLF Life-time achievement award for exemplary/courageous service to the advancement of legal system; Emeritus Professor Akinjide Osuntokun, HLF Role Model award for outstanding contributions in the field of education, and Professor Jibrila Dahiru Amin, HLF-Umaru Shehu life-time achievement award for consistent advocacy for positive change within the university system.
